We love what we see on the website and think that you might be the wedding photographer for us! What is the booking procedure?

The first step is to make sure I am still available by giving me a call or sending me an email with your wedding date. If your date is available, I encourage you to arrange a face to face meeting. This gives you a chance to ask any questions you might have, and to make sure that we are both on the same page with the vision you have for your big day. It also gives you the chance to see some albums and prints, and additional images from events that aren't represented on my website.

If I seem like a good match for you, then the next step is to review and sign the contract and pay the retainer to secure the date. The non-refundable retainer is $600 and applies to the final price.

My ultimate goal is to create beautiful images that you will enjoy for a lifetime. As a result, I offer only the highest quality prints available. Bear in mind that all prints purchased reflect the time and talent used to create each unique image, not the physical piece of paper it is printed on! I do realize the importance of sharing your images digitally, through social media such as Facebook. As a result digital copies of images are available as part of collections and for purchase á la carte.

Will you be photographing us?

Yes! Jan (that’s me!) is the sole photographer for all commissions. I prefer a solo approach as I find it affords a level of intimacy and discretion that is far more difficult to achieve when multiple photographers are photographing the same event. Of course it’s impossible to be in two places at once, but you will find that I am very thorough in my coverage. I’d be happy to show you the photographs of a complete event so you can see exactly what I mean!

What kind of camera do you use? Do you bring spare equipment?

I use professional grade, digital SLR camera bodies and lenses. I also bring professional grade back up camera equipment to each event, in the unlikely event that a camera breaks down or is damaged while I work. I'm more than happy to discuss my current camera gear when you stop in for a consultation or during a photo session. :)

How soon will we receive our images?

Withing just a few days of your wedding I will email you a selection of sneak preview images. The sneak previews are perfect for thank you cards and will give you an idea of the great images yet to come. For each hour of photography, there are several hours of post-production required to produce the final images and typical delivery time for a complete set of proofs is approximately 8 to 10 weeks.

Can we share our online gallery with our family and friends?

Absolutely! Each wedding collection includes a password-protected online proofing gallery, so you can share your photos with everyone you wish. The gallery also includes a shopping cart for anyone who wishes to purchase their own copy of prints or files from the event; that way you aren't left with the task of emailing images to dozens of friends and relatives. :)

What geographic areas do you serve?

I am located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, however I am available to work anywhere in Canada and beyond! Destination wedding collections are available. Prices are based on events taking place within the City of Winnipeg. Please call or email me regarding travel fees to other Canadian destinations.

If you have any questions that I have not yet addressed, please email or call me!
